Kathmandu: Five political parties have submitted their respective list of candidates to the Election Commission to be elected as members of the House of Representatives under the proportional representation (PR) category of the HoR elections held in late 2017. Only five political parties were able to be recognized as national parties, thereby being eligible to nominate members under the PR category of the election held in November 26 and December 7, 2017. The deadline to submit the list was today. The CPN-UML, the Nepali Congress, the CPN (MC), Sanghiya Samajbadi Forum Nepal and Rastriya Janata Party have submitted their respective list. The Commission will now review the list to see whether they fulfill the criteria of inclusion and proportional representation, and the order of the list submitted prior to the election. For corrections, if any, the parties will be given another two days time, according to EC spokesperson Nawaraj Dhakal.
