Kathmandu: Kathmandu District Court has slapped 16 years’ jail term to Bishnu Prasad Pande and Raju BK, after being found guilty of abducting Bishal Chaudhari of Bardiya district. A single bench of Judge Kabi Prasad Neupane issued the verdict to this regard after completing the hearing under the case of abduction and hostage. Along with the jail term, they have been fined Rs 100,000 and Rs 2,000 each as compensation, said record keeper Krishna Prasad Nepal. They verdict was issued in line with the Civil Code. Pande and BK had abducted Chaudhary, a high school student, last July. Chaudhary was freed from captivity after four days.
